Some people may want to purchase or adopt a pet, but there are some factors that should be considered when raising animals - whatever their type was -. Some of these factors include adapting to the weather and the environment of the animal where the psychological state of the animal may be affected, and its behavior also if the animal is living in an environment where it doesn’t fit. And in some cases, these animals may get sick, or even die.


Adapting to the temperature changes is relatively easy for humans, but it is difficult for dogs, so there are species that are able to live in Saudi Arabia, which is hot most of the year, and these types include:


American Foxhound: They are big hunting dogs with an average lifespan of 11-13 years. They are smart, active, loyal, but they need constant training and care. They are friendly and loving to children and strangers. They can adapt to warm and cold weather.


Chihuahua: Chihuahuas are a breed of small dogs with a weight that does not exceed four kilograms. Their lifespan is up to 12 years of age. They like to play and are friendly and loving to children and strangers and cats.


German Shorthaired Pointer: They are hounds of medium size. They are considered to be one of the most popular dog species in the world. They have the ability to swim. Their short hair makes them able to withstand hot weather but difficult to tolerate cold weather. They need continuous outdoor training and running.


Golden Retriever: A sport’s dog. They are one of the most popular breeds of dogs among families. They are famous for their thick golden hair. Their hair and skin need care and attention. They are able to provide care for disabled people, because they are not difficult to train and educate.


Dalmatian: They are medium-sized hounds with a smooth, muscular, low-fat body weight that helps them with running. Their short hair and white color help them cope with high temperatures. They are known to be curious and explorers.


Pharaoh Hound: The pharaonic dogs are of medium size. These ancient Egyptians dogs are considered to be one of the oldest breeds of dogs ever. They are characterized by their elegance, high speed, especially in rocky terrain.


Vizsla: These medium-sized dogs are of the active type. They prefer daily activities need constant training. Their average lifespan is of 12-15 years.
